Laser Therapy Really Works for Weight Loss
Applying
the laser to various points on the body can facilitate weight loss by giving
the person a feeling of Ill being which can suppress the desire for
excessive and inappropriate food. The laser can also stimulate metabolism
and thereby enable the body to utilize food efficiently instead of storing
it as fat.
Diet and exercise are helpful in any program of weight reduction. Most
people who come for the laser treatment for weight control have been given
diets and exercise regimens before. They may have good knowledge of what
they should and shouldn't eat, but they feel depressed or irritable when
they try to stay on a diet.
Dr. Alan Kesner offers you a number of different food plans to choose from
or you may continue to follow any diet or exercise program you may currently
be using. I do not prescribe any drugs or force you to follow any strict
diets.
A succession of laser treatments over a three to six week period is
recommended initially. You may require additional treatments, depending on
desired weight loss goal.
The weight loss to be expected is about four to eight pounds per month.
weight loss should continue after the treatments are completed until normal
weight is achieved. The effects of the laser usually last at least 6 to 8
months following your last treatment
My weight
loss program is a succession of 6 - 8 treatments spaced over a three to five
week period. The program that I offer works along the same principle as
acupuncture but of course I don't use needles so there is no piercing of the
skin. I use a low level laser (also called a cold or therapeutic laser) to
stimulate the acupuncture points rather than piercing the skin with
needles. The laser that I use is a medical laser, not a surgical laser so
there is no heat or pain. I apply the laser to various points on the body
(meridian points) and ears (auricular points). This helps to stimulate your
own body's abilities for controlled eating and weight loss.
The areas of the body that I work on are the ears, arms, wrist, hand, leg,
ankle, and feet. There is no discomfort and no disrobing. I just ask that
you wear loose fitting slacks or shorts so that I can have access to the
knee area and also loose fitting or short sleeves so that I can have access
to the upper arm area.
The stimulation of certain points helps me to reduce your appetite usually
about 30% - 50%. I also help to stimulate your metabolism and get that
working better for you. I also do points to help take away the cravings for
foods like sugar, chocolate, breads, etc., the things you shouldn't be
eating while trying to lose weight.
By doing these points, I balance your bodies energy or CHI so that you won't
eat out of emotions but only when you are really hungry. I will also ask
that you try to do some form of exercise and of course eat properly. If you
follow a diet or exercise program the laser with enhance or amplify your
results.
